In your first phone call with Dr. Neely, she will determine if she has the right skills for your child's needs. After that, you would complete a questionnaire online as well as sign some consent forms. The first session is just for parents where Dr. Neely will ask follow up questions about the information you provided. Sessions will be conducted by HIPAA compliant video service.
Sessions will typically include some time in the beginning for the parent to provide an update on the week. With the parent present, Dr. Neely may provide educational information or facilitate some problem solving. After that, the video session for the child could include talk therapy, play therapy, online games, videos, or an art activity. These are very flexible sessions designed to help your child feel safe and supported.
PSYPACT is an agreement between states allowing Psychologists to provide services to patients in other participating states. Dr. Neely has obtained her Interjurisdictional Practice Certificate, which means she is permitted to see patients by video in any of the other states who have joined PSYPACT.
